September 24-25
DTR Conference
The world of dating today has become complex. We are told that if we date long enough, and try out different makes and models of people, we can ultimately find our true “soul mate.” Like buying a car, it may make sense to test drive as many as possible until you find “the one,” but has this popular mindset really helped people find true happiness?
What is common practice for “dating” today goes against the historical and scriptural norm that Christians have known for two millennia. The test-drive model of dating has led to frustration, impurity, unrighteousness, sensuality, and ultimately a lifestyle that has us practicing how to divorce our eventual husband/wife. Too many have been shattered by this lifestyle. Boys have refused to become men. Girls are interested in every feature of a man except for godliness. This has all led to a culture where you are more likely to get divorced than to stay married. This was never how it was meant to be.
Defining The Relationship (DTR) Conference will take college-aged Christian men and women through a biblical view of dating, helping to reorient how we view attraction, courtship, romance, and move from feelings to forever, learning to date God’s way.
