SUPPORTING PARENT-BASED EDUCATION PLATFORMS

ABOUT FAMILY EDUCATION WORKSHOPS

In the wake of an American landscape becoming increasingly hostile toward Judeo-Christian belief structures*, we strive to offer extra support for parents attempting non-traditional forms of education for their children. That is why we offer Family Education Workshops (F.E.W.). Our definition of non-traditional education includes Home School, Private School, Charter School, or other curricula outside typical state operated institutions.

WHY WE MEET

As a church we aim to support parents in their role as primary disciple-makers of their children (e.g. Ephesians 6:4). In the early years of a child’s life, especially pre-conversion, a child requires intense training in biblical doctrine and Christian lifestyle, before being released into the world as a “standard bearer” or “light” for others. In effect, a child cannot stand for convictions they do not possess. Thus, our goal is to help parents infuse a biblical worldview upon their children before mainstream education begins.

WHO ATTENDS

Our Family Education Workshops are designed for mothers currently interested in or engaged in forms of non-traditional education, as well as those who desire a larger community for prayer, encouragement and equipping.

WHAT WE DO

In order to provide flexibility and positive engagement for all who attend, workshops are largely Q&A. They are led by experienced practitioners, who never press a select vendor or core curriculum; allowing every mother to feel welcomed, regardless of age, stage, and selected curriculum.
